That's what I do as a journalist, make every minute count, with more than 30 years' experience in regional, national, international
newspapers, magazines and online sites.
I take my work seriously, but don't take myself too seriously.
After many years being happily shackled to a desk at the Kent Messenger Group and Daily Telegraph
my sense of humour has stayed intact but I have left others to run the tough production shifts while
I write travel and cruise features mainly with a focus on arts, gardens, history, architecture, music and wildlife.
I am the Daily Mail's Cruise News columnist and contribute to the Daily Telegraph Cruise pages and Saga magazine. I'm the cruise news writer for House & Gardens' Destinations magazine and I edit LARKmusic magazine.
I write guest blogs and features including Saga Holidays, Scenic, Fred. Olsen cruise lines and Olympic Holidays.
Marking the 100th anniversary of World War I 1914-1918 I filed more than 80 features, including several new stories which featured in Saga Magazine, the Daily Express and Sunday Mirror.
